I will give you rest

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

In the Beginning was

Jesus Christ Is God’s Son
Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. Hebrews 1:1-3

In the beginning was the WORD

The Prophecy of Simeon

The Prophecy of Simeon Luke 2:25-35
At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,

“Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace, as you have promised. I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!”

Jesus’ parents were amazed at what was being said about him. Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, but he will be a joy to many others. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him. As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.”

I can do all things through Christ

Did you ever have days when the only option left is go to bed, when all else failed, yet you keep on standing even if it means your standing alone? During those times, it is the Holy Spirit who takes over. It says in Phil.4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" JUST WONDERFUL!!!

It is the Holy Spirit who does this. He takes over when we are at the lowest point. When we can no longer take another step. # His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Katrina Cauilan

Our Children

Unto us a child is born

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NLT

God loves to pour out blessings

When God made a promise to Abraham he swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. "Hebrews 6:13–15 Our God loves to pour out blessings! He demonstrates His love to those of us who love Him, who show our love by obeying Him When He provides and protects, when He guides our steps and goes ahead of us, when He walks with us through hard times and brings us to good and pleasant places, God blesses us with His constant presence. Whatever twists in the road, nothing can interfere with His sovereign power and goodness. Whatever missteps we take, He can redeem. Whatever hurts we experience, He can heal. Yes, our God loves to pour out blessings!

Happy Birthday Jesus

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORD JESUS! Because of You, we are. Because of You, we can become. Let us give You praise! Because You were born to be our Savior, we can turn to You in our need. Because of Your grace, we are forgiven. Oh Lord, You loved us enough to die for us; help us in turn to love You enough to LIVE for You. Let us give You our LIVES – our birthday gift to You. In Your holy name we pray this and every day, Amen.

Oh Holy Night

Oh holy night! The stars are brightly shining. It is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Untill he appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! Fall on your knees. Oh hear the angel voices. Oh night divine. Oh night when Christ was born.

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming. With glowing hearts by his cradle we stand. So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming. Here come the wise men from Orient land. The King of Kings lay in a lowly manger. In all our trials he was born to be our friend.

Truly he taught us to love one another. His law is love and his gospel is peace. Chains shall he break for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we. Let all within us praise his holy name.

Magic of Christmas

Heavenly Father. I celebrate the birth of Jesus, with the songs of the angels, the joy of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men. Lord God, close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Help me share the blessing of joy, peace, and love Christ put in my heart with everyone I possibly can as I bless the holy precious name of Jesus forever and ever. Amen

You are blessed!

At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me? When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy. You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.” Luke 1:41-45

Joy! The Lord!

Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song, with trumpets and the sound of the ram’s horn. Make a joyful symphony before the Lord, the King! Psalm 98:4-6

Jesus Replied

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38

Hope Is Born!

They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. Luke 2:16-20 NLT

Glory to God

Come...

Suddenly...

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others - the armies of heaven -praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:13-14

Joy to the World

When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”  Luke 2:15

Christ, the Eternal Word

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:1-5

Wise Men Still Seek Him

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior yes, the Messiah, the Lord, has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! Luke 2:8-11 NLT

The trip to Bethlehem

Because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancée, who was now obviously pregnant.

And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. Luke 2:4-7

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Afterward I will return and restore the fallen house of David. I will rebuild its ruins and restore it, so that the rest of humanity might seek the Lord, including the Gentiles - all those I have called to be mine. The Lord has spoken - he who made these things known so long ago. Acts 15:16-18

The Sweetest Gift

The Gift

Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:7

Knowing God's Will

The Struggle to Seek or Find the Will of God. Seeking and searching, in our contemporary language, suggests looking for something that is not there or can’t be seen. But, is this what we do when we search for the Will of God? When most Christians say they want God’s Will, they may actually want Christ to do their will! So, this subject must be sought with reverence and obedience or we will miss it completely, rebalancing our will for His so we can have the trash we want instead of the wonders He has for us.

The Wise Men

After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:9-11

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people. He has sent us a mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David, just as he promised through his holy prophets long ago.
