The essence of a Christian is to be holy

Gimellin Godstime
Good Morning my family and friends
The essence of a Christian is to be holy

Why Christians Must be Holy

It is very clear in the teachings of the Scripture that no Christian is sinless (1 John 1:8-10), but it is also clear that God expects the true believer to not sin habitually. “No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in Him, and he cannot practice sin because he is born of God” (
1 John 3:9).

To “practice” sin is to sin as a way of life. An unsaved person lives a life of habitual sin. The sin of unbelief is a normal thing for the lost person. A true believer does not live in habitual sin. He may commit occasional sins but he will not make it a habitual practice.

The word “holy,” “holiness,” “saint” and “sanctify” comes from a Greek root meaning, “to set apart to God.” The believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is set apart for God by the Holy Spirit. The “saint” is a person set apart for God, enjoying a holy standing before God in Christ Jesus, with the obligation of living a holy life (1 Peter 1:15-16).

The evidence of the new birth is righteous behavior in the life of the believer. Sanctification is evident in a changed life. God changes us from the inside out (2 Corinthians 5:17). May this teaching bless each an everyone of us as we keep fellowship in His presence.

Understanding your Supernatural Root to redemption

By Gimellin Godstime
Isaiah 8:18 says," Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of  hosts, which dwells in mount Zion".

Understanding your Supernatural Root to redemption.
1. It is through new Birth; new Birth makes all things new and it give us access to every good things of life to make you and I live a pleasurable life (2 Corinthians 5:18). It means all things will be new in you and I as we believe in Him.

2. Human life has been exchanged for eternal life. It is not only the occult that talks of transition. We Christians will be transit to the Heavenly Home Jesus has made for us, only if we believe in Jesus christ. (John 3:16). Once we repent to God our life is transformed to a supernatural life. John 3:8 talks about the wind blows but no one knows where it comes or goes, so is everyone born of the Spirit of God.

When you accept Jesus you become ummolestable, and you live a supernatural lifestyle that will cause the attention of men to see the glory of God in your life. Amen.

Finally, an earthly life is exchanged to become a heavenly life (Philippian 3:20). Our conversion is from above. But all things are by God's grace, that we are converted to live a heavenly life. May God's purpose be in you that you may live a life worthy of  His honor. Amen.

Colossians 1:13-14 "Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of  his dear Son in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:".

Seven Steps To Living A Holy Life

Gimellin Godstime
THE SEVEN STEPS TO LIVING A HOLY LIFE
1. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

2. Put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.

3. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are Jew or Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

4. Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with:
tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

5. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace.

6. And always be thankful.

7. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Love the Lord...

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37:38

Photo: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Rom 5:1-5)

A blessed change takes place in the sinner's state, when he becomes a true believer, whatever he has been. Being justified by faith he has peace with God. The holy, righteous God, cannot be at peace with a sinner, while under the guilt of sin. Justification takes away the guilt, and so makes way for peace. This is through our Lord Jesus Christ; through him as the great Peace-maker, the Mediator between God and man. The saints' happy state is a state of grace. Into this grace we are brought, which teaches that we were not born in this state. We could not have got into it of ourselves, but we are led into it, as pardoned offenders.

Therein we stand, a posture that denotes perseverance; we stand firm and safe, upheld by the power of God. And those who have hope for the glory of God hereafter, have enough to rejoice in now. Tribulation worketh patience, not in and of itself, but the powerful grace of God working in and with the tribulation. Patient sufferers have most of the Divine consolations, which abound as afflictions abound. It works needful experience of ourselves. This hope will not disappoint, because it is sealed with the Holy Spirit as a Spirit of love. It is the gracious work of the blessed Spirit to shed abroad the love of God in the hearts of all the saints. A right sense of God's love to us, will make us not ashamed, either of our hope, or of our sufferings for him.

Work together...

When you go through difficult times, make sure you pass the test. Don’t be stubborn and hardheaded. Recognize that God is refining you, knocking off some of your rough edges. Stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. God has called each of us to be champions; you are destined to win. If you will work with God and keep a good attitude, then no matter what comes against you, the bible says that all things not just the good things in life, but all things work together for your good.

Pastor Rick Warren

Every great comeback first requires a setback. What you are going through is a season of your life, not the end of your life.

God’s omnipresence, and the manifestation of His presence, are two different things. One is a fact, the other is often a feeling. God is always present, even when you are unaware of Him, and His presence is too profound to be measured by mere emotion.

Yes, He wants you to sense His presence, but He is more concerned that you trust Him, than that you feel Him. Faith, not feelings, pleases God.

God gave us mouths that close, and ears that don't. What does that tell us? "Let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry." James 1:19 If you do the first two, the third is automatic.

Good Shepherd...

Life happens...

Hope everyone is doing well. Life happens, but not in the pages of a book. We live it in myriad ways, each and every day. I can encourage and post comfort. Sometimes we just need a kind word to tide us over, or to get us to hold on, until our situation changes. For change it will, if we water it with prayers and our tears. Speak, what you want, I know it works. Some might call this work trivial, but words are powerful beyond measure. A necessary gift, we can give to each other. Have a peaceful evening everyone. If no one has told you lately. You are loved more than you'll ever know. You are never alone. Walk confidently. After all, you're still here! Joszann St John

Somebody needs...

What do you have to give to make someone's day a little brighter?
Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows? Maybe just like that little baby, putting your arm around somebody and letting him or her know that you care can help begin to heal that person’s heart. Maybe you can give a rescuing hug.

I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope. Acts 2:25-26
