- Rise up, Lord, Father, Son, and Spirit, we can do nothing without you; but if you will arise, your enemies shall be scattered, and they that hate you shall flee before you.
Go home and pray this prayer by yourselves, fervently laying hold upon the horns of God’s altar! Do not neglect this private duty. Go to your prayer room; shut the door; cry to Him who hears in secret - Rise up, Lord, and let my enemies be scattered.
When our families are gathered together, let the cry ring up to heaven. And tomorrow, and all the days of the week, and when you meet together to hear His word. Cry, Rise up, Lord, and let you enemies be scattered; and let them that hate you flee before you. Pray for your children, your neighbors, your families, and your friends, and let your prayer be - Rise up, Lord; rise up, Lord! Pray for the neighborhood, the city, and the country.
If you cannot pray for others because your own needs are so overwhelming, remember sinner, all you need is the faith to look to Christ and say, Rise up, Lord; scatter my doubts; kill my unbelief; drown my sins in Your blood, let my enemies be scattered; let them that hate me flee before me in Jesus Holy Precious Name. Amen C.S.

Rise Up Jesus
2 Corinthians 3:18
Lord, help me to lose everything for your sake and so discover all that I have and am in you.
The disciples are needy in every way. They are simply "poor" (Luke 6:20 ). They have no security, no property to call their own, no piece of earth they could call their home, no earthly community to which they might fully belong. But they also have neither spiritual power of their own, nor experience orknowledge they can refer to and which could comfort them. For his sake they have lost all that. When they followed him, they lost themselves and everything else which could have made them rich. Now they are so poor, so inexperienced, so foolish that they cannot hope for anything except him who called them. Dietrich Bonhoeffer
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:3

My Calling
God’s Discipline Proves His Love
Since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion, the originator, and the perfecter, of our faith. Instead of the joy await...ing him, he endured the cross; disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of how people hurt themselves by opposing him, and you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
Have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline. Don’t give up when he corrects you. The Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” Hebrews 12:1-6 NLT

Seek His Face
"My heart says of You, "Seek His face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek."~Psalm 27:8...God lives where He is acknowledged. I seek your face Lord, with all I am and ever will be!

Do you know God?
36 Elihu continued speaking:
2 “Let me go on, and I will show you the truth.
For I have not finished defending God!
3 I will present profound arguments
for the righteousness of my Creator.
4 I am telling you nothing but the truth,
for I am a man of great knowledge.
5 “God is mighty, but he does not despise anyone!
He is mighty in both power and understanding.
6 He does not let the wicked live
but gives justice to the afflicted.
7 He never takes his eyes off the innocent,
but he sets them on thrones with kings
and exalts them forever.
8 If they are bound in chains
and caught up in a web of trouble,
9 he shows them the reason.
He shows them their sins of pride.
10 He gets their attention
and commands that they turn from evil.
11 “If they listen and obey God,
they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives.
All their years will be pleasant.
12 But if they refuse to listen to him,
they will be killed by the sword[a]
and die from lack of understanding.
13 For the godless are full of resentment.
Even when he punishes them,
they refuse to cry out to him for help.
14 They die when they are young,
after wasting their lives in immoral living.
15 But by means of their suffering, he rescues those who suffer.
For he gets their attention through adversity.

God The Supreme Designer
God is the sole and supreme designer. He planned the time when, and the way how, each of us should be brought to Him. He did not leave the number of His saved ones to chance. He did not leave His choice of persons to accident. Not until the hour comes for the one to be ordained shall he be placed in any other position than that which God, after the counsel of his own will, has ordained.
For meditation: Man has no idea what he is doing himself, but he is very good at questioning what God does (Luke 23:34-39). C.S.
God's Plan
We rest our souls on Christ. The older you get, the more you know your faith in Christ means you never need to be afraid. God's purpose does not change. God is worthy of our confidence. We can rest upon Him for the future. We've been in strange and peculiar situations, but we were never where we couldn't find God. We believe when death’s dark night shall come, we shall fear no evil, for the same God will be with us
