My prayer for my life

My God, You are perfect. You are the omnipotent and omniscient originator. Ruler of the universe and the object of my worship and devotion. Thank You for setting me in a place where I can hear You clearly. Move me out of the way so Jesus may be seen and speak through me. Prepare me, so You may propel me, into my purpose

God I set my mind to gain understanding and revelation, and to humble myself before You. Please reveal to me the clear and powerful discernment, comprehension, and empathy of Your ways. Reveal Your manifest Glory that makes You worthy of the homage and adoration of all creation, and Your incomparably great power that is available to me. I desperately need You, and Your power Lord, to remain in the center of Your will and to fulfill Your purpose for me. I have such a burning desire to know You, adore You, and worship You, completely. I desire revelation of all You are so my heart will be so fixed in my confidence in You I never fail to trust You, lean on You, hear You, and complete Your will for my life. I’m totally dependent on You Lord. I am nothing, my thoughts and words are nothing, I have nothing, and I can do nothing, without You. I need You to endure. Remove from me everything that’s not of You.

Thank You God for Your spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-18). I will be strong in You Lord and in Your mighty power. I put on the full armor you provided for me so I can take my stand against the devil's schemes. My struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark evil world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly realms.

I put on Your full armor God, so when the day of evil comes I may be able to stand my ground, and after I’ve done everything, I will stand. I will stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, and my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. I pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. I will be alert, keep praying for all the saints, and allow only Your Will to be done through me.

The weapons I fight with are not the weapons of the world. I have divine power to demolish every stronghold and every argument that comes against me, my family, all I pray for, and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of You. I take captive every thought, and make it obedient to You Jesus, rebuking all thoughts not of You in Your magnificent name. Lord, rebuke Satan and his servants. I take authority over the enemy’s work and his attempts to attack my heart, my mind, my body, my family, my household, my friends, our ministries, those on my prayer list, my pastors, and my church. Thank You for being my loving shepherd.

I walk in authority. I walk with a divine spirit. I walk in divinity, and I’m covered. Your Spirit Lord works through me because my life is submitted to You. I get still, quiet my soul, rise up in the realm of the Spirit, and You push back the fog of obscurity. Lord bless me with adequate illumination in the darkness, and bring clarity to issues of confusion or indecision. You are powerful and potent and whatever I, or my children, form You will fill. I have the capacity to give all I have, and receive all You have to give. Give me wisdom and strength as I move forward in the assurance that You began a good work in me and will bring it to perfection and completion.

I praise You Jesus, and give glory to You God, for You are my authority. You can not, and will not, ever be shaken. By blessing You God, I'm telling the devil that nothing he tried against me worked. I still have power. I still have authority, and I will love you for eternity. Thank You God that my righteousness gives me authority over the enemy, and NOTHING can take it from me. He may try to pull me down, tell lies about me, mess with my family and friends, my finances, my mind, my health, or my ministry, but my mandate and my authority, will never be taken from me. Testing only strengthens my faith in You Lord. Having done all, I will stand and give You all the praise. I won’t ever believe the lies of the enemy and relinquish my authority. As long as I keep my righteousness, and my authority, I take back everything the enemy has ever stolen from me. Give it back! I stand with all power in my hands through the blood of my King, King Jesus, my blessed redeemer, and I command the enemy and every demon in hell to bow down under my feet. I have authority and power over you. I stand in that authority today and tell you to take your hands off me, my family, those on my prayer list, our homes, our ministries, our businesses, and finances, in the name of Jesus, the Christ.

Jesus You are my Lord and the love of my life. You are everything to me and I bless Your holy name. God I am YOUR beloved child, YOUR Spirit leads me. YOUR power hits me and leads me in what to do to accomplish YOUR Will. I’m not the one doing the work, You’re living vicariously through me, for YOUR glory and YOUR honor. The Holy Spirit teaches me all things, reminds me of Your word, instructs me how be productive and fruitful in every season, and brings forth my heart’s desire; to be a fit vessel to serve You, my God. Thank You God for sending me the extremely anointed teaching and preaching of Bishop T.D. Jakes to further my knowledge of You. God, keep a supernatural hedge of protection around the Bishop, and all ministries I pray for. Holy Spirit protect them, lead them, and guide them in all they do. Keep evil far from them, especially Jezebel spirits, as You increase their anointing.

I love You Lord and my God with all my heart, my soul, my mind, and all my strength. I lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone Lord, make me dwell in safety. You keep me in perfect peace because my mind is steadfast, because I trust You. I’m constantly transformed by the renewing of my mind, and perpetually trained to test and approve Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock, my Redeemer, consecrate me to do Your will. I love You and I’m absolutely devoted to You. I adore You God with an intensity that’s so hard to put into words, I can’t adequately explain it. I love communicating intimately with You and I pray the bond between us grows ever stronger. I love all the saints. I thank You and praise You Father for responding to, and fulfilling, my prayers. I worship You for who You are and for all You are to me. I repent of my sins and ask Your forgiveness from every sin. Please cleanse my heart and my lips. Thank You God for ordering my steps.

Thank You Holy Spirit for filling me, using me to accomplish God’s will, and flowing through me. Give me an urgency to obey Your leading, petition for my needs, intercede for others, travail in the Spirit, declare Your Word, or do whatever You lead me to do. My God, earnestly I seek Your face. My soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You. I need Your Glory and fresh anointing to overshadow my life. Only you can fill this void in me. I have a burning desire to know You more, every day, every hour, every minute, every second, I strive to know you better. Help me to live Your word Lord, walk in Your truth, and be absolutely obedient to Your will. I am Your vessel, bought at a price, mold me and make me after Your will. My body is Your temple Holy Spirit. You are within me, and You lead me, bless me, heal and strengthen me.

Lord, I thank You for Your great mercy and Your amazing grace that abounds to me. I thank You that You are ever present with me. You are my Lord, my savior, my redeemer, my rock, my fortress, my righteousness, my sanctification, my peace, my source, my shield, my defense, my great reward, my covering, my banner, my High Priest, my strong tower, my deliverer, my healer, my faithful provider, my very best friend, and most of all, my loving shepherd. Thank You for loving me enough to lay down Your life for me. Thank You for the grace You poured out on me abundantly, giving me strength, considering me faithful, and anointing me for Your service. I also Thank You Lord for keeping me steadfast in Your will, and for ordering every step I take. I give You all the Glory, all the honor, and all the praise, for You alone are worthy!

Lord, thank You for clothing me in Your righteousness. I lay myself on the altar and whatever does not please You Lord, burn it up. Consume my will, my desires, my emotions, my flesh, and EVERYTHING that doesn’t line up with Your Will. Do whatever You desire to do in me, Lord. Do whatever it takes to keep me on Your holy hill. Lord, I surrender myself totally to You, for without You, I can do nothing, and I am nothing. It’s only through Your grace that I may be used, by You, to fulfill Your will. Use me Lord! This is the cry of my heart, my body, and my soul. Search me, O God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness, make straight Your way before me. Teach me Your way and I will walk in Your truth; give me an undivided heart that I may fear Your name.

Thank You for giving me a pure heart and renewing a steadfast spirit within me. I desire to do only Your Will God; Your word is within my heart. Do not withhold Your mercy from me Lord. May Your love and faithfulness always protect me. Thank You for wisdom, vision and insight. You gave me a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. I will revere the gifts You put in me to build up others in a life of faith, so when the time comes for them to benefit the Body, the gift is ready. My prayer for my life is that You would use me mightily for Your Glory, and make Your will perfectly known to me so I will not stray from my everlasting course. Oh how I love You Lord.

Jesus, You defeated Satan, once and for all. You died on the cross, rose from the dead, took the keys to death, hell, and the grave, and made an open show of the devil. I worship and praise You, for You’re worthy of all glory and all honor. I united myself with You and I’m one with You in spirit. Your divine power gives me everything I need for life and Godliness, through my knowledge of You, who called me by Your own glory and goodness. God You make me stand firm in Christ. Your grace is sufficient for me. Your all-surpassing power is made perfect in my weakness. Bless me to be the very best me I can be. Please hide me, and allow others to see Jesus through me.

God talk me through the changes that affect my destiny, or change my life. Lord don’t let me do anything so stupid it aborts my destiny. Don't give me anything I can't handle, that will make me stumble or fall. You know me better than I know myself. If You see me doing something stupid STOP ME. Let me know Your voice so well I know when to just BE QUIET, to be comfortable and content where I am, or when You want to speak through me or use me. Teach me to be always abounding in Your work, steadfast, stable, consistent, and unmovable. Lord, I beseech You, help me to faithfully pray daily, give me patience, train me to be obedient and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Talk me through my needless frustrations. Help me praise You through my pain and comfort me, when I’m tired, confused, or weary. Teach me to overcome my emotions and not say things the wrong way, especially to my husband, family, and friends.

I am blessed because I delight in Your word and meditate on it day and night. I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water. I bring forth my fruit in my season; my leaf shall not wither; and whatever I do shall prosper. I am a true worshiper. I worship You Father in love, in spirit, and in truth. Thank You God for loving me and choosing me to do Your will. You said he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him, he that believes in Me, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Thank You for loving me, favoring me, and using me.

Lord, many said You wouldn’t deliver me. But You’re a shield around me, You bestow glory on me, and You lift up my head. To You Lord I cry aloud and You answer me from Your holy hill, for You are my deliverance. You bring me out and show everyone You’re with me, to Your Glory and Honor. You never let me be ashamed. I lie down and sleep in peace; I wake again, because You love me and sustain me.

Thank You God for this indescribable gift! Thank You for this new beginning! Thank You for starting my life over, knowing what I know now. I know because I’m blessed with abundance much is required of me. All my life I've purposed in my heart I would never stop seeking You. You told death it couldn't touch me. You brought me through SO many things, so many times. You’re always there when I call Your name. You know me better than I know myself. My prayer is to know You better every day. You’ll never let me down. I hunger and thirst for righteousness and I am filled. I love and adore You for choosing me. I thank You that I’ve found favor in your eyes.

Almighty God, keep me in Your pavilion, the place of Your presence. The place of thanksgiving, praise and worship, that stills the enemy and the avenger, and stops the devil. In Your pavilion, under Your covering, in the secret place of Your presence, Your anointing is released upon me. Many may say things against me, or do things to try and harm me, but because I’m surrounded by Your presence, and You love me and favor me, no one can hurt me. In Your presence I’m completely enveloped by Your Spirit. I’m protected, loved, and treasured. I’m fascinated, and totally delighted in You. I thank and praise You Lord for the blessing You are in my life. I lift my hands to You my Lord, my God, and I thank You for the secret place, for Your protection, and for Your love. You’ve prepared great things for me because I love You and seek You with all my heart. Thank You Lord for blessing me with financial abundance to fulfill the vision You put inside me. All-powerful God, spending time in Your presence satisfies the desires of my heart. My life prayer is to be used mightily by You to do Your will.

Worship is my secret place where the anointing is released and the enemy is stopped. I lay down my life for You God, to burn up and remove all things not of You so I may serve You. Please mature me beyond earthly things so when I’m in Your presence I may receive Your direction and guidance for my life, and all those on my prayer list, stand in the gap and travail to obtain the things others need or lack, to hear Your word for them, or to take help from heaven to those in a place remote from Your kingdom. Let me not speak with words of human wisdom, but when I open my mouth give me words to speak that demonstrate the Spirit's power; words by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths, in spiritual words.

I adore You Lord more than mere words can proclaim. I exalt, praise, glorify, and honor You. I extol Your majesty and Your virtue, and I love You with everything I am. I love You with so much intensity it’s overwhelming. Thank You My Lord for loving me. Thank You for providing me financial and spiritual abundance so that in all things, at all times, I have all I need to fulfill Your will, and abound in every good work. Thank You for making me rich in every way so I can be generous on every occasion, and my generosity will result in thanksgiving and glory to You. Jesus, what do You want me to do, to say, or to go? How can I be used to deliver, draw, bless, or heal?

God, I am so grateful that You love and favor me and my family. You’re so awesome God. You know how deeply I love You. There’s no way I can express how much I adore You and all You are to me. I am so very thankful You chose me for Your service, for blessing me and my family, and for answering my prayers. I thank You for Your amazing grace, mercy, favor, blessings and healing in our lives, for our ministries, our homes, furnishings, clothing, finances, and cars. I give You all the praise, glory, and honor for You blessed me with all I need to fulfill the vision You put in me. Thank You for the abundant blessings You bestow upon me, for the pleasure of tithing, special offerings, allowing me to bless my friends, my family, and my church, and always have enough left over to meet my needs, and to bless others as You lead me.

Let Your Will be done in our lives, and our ministries! I’m so grateful You’ve given us the resources to help so many people know You. I praise You God for allowing us to bring hope and salvation to those You have drawn who are lost, have no hope, and can’t find their way. By supplying their basic needs of decent housing, toiletries, clothing, and financial freedom, we can show them all things are possible through faith in You. Thank You for allowing us to bless so many and show them the love they’re looking for to fulfill them, the one who loves them as much as they want to be loved, the only one who has truly unconditional love for them and they can always depend on, is You. There’s no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You.

Glory to Your name O Lord, my God, my King, You are robed in majesty. You are the greatest gift of all. You have saved me from the fall with Your gifts of love and mercy. Take control, have Your way in me. There's no one like You. I worship You in spirit and in truth. Refresh my soul. Come and breathe into me. I lift up my hands and magnify Your name. I give You all the honor, glory, worship, and praise You deserve.

I want to be in the higher place where You are. That secret place in You, the Holy of Holies. Take me there, past the gates, beyond the courts, above all powers and principalities, so we can commune together. Break me and draw me nearer as I run after You. I'm desperate for Your embrace. I need You to heal me, put the garment of grace on me, keep me safe in Your presence, by Your side. I can't live without You, light of truth giver of grace, mercy, and peace. I worship You, adore You, and love You with all my mind, my heart, my body, and my soul. You are the blessed trinity. Amen

My prayer for those chosen of God

I worship You God, and my Lord Jesus Christ! I give You all praise, honor, and thanks because of Your righteousness, and I sing praises to Your Holy name. Thank You for Your grace, mercy and favor upon our lives. We hold firmly to the faith we profess for the persecution, trials, and tribulations, we must go through are nothing compared to the price You paid for our salvation. Jesus, you love us so much You laid down Your life for us. We're so grateful for Your extreme sacrifice. I have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place wrapped in righteousness, through Your blood. You are our great High Priest over God’s house, and I draw near to You with a sincere heart, in full assurance of faith. I hold unswervingly to the hope I profess, for You are faithful. lord, send down your power, release Your glory, pour Your oil upon us, and give us a passion like never before. Help us to be faithful in all we do as You are faithful.
I cry unto You my Lord and my King, let my prayer be set before You as incense, and my worship as my sacrifice, as I approach Your throne of grace with confidence, to receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. I call on You Lord for You answer me. Give ear to me and hear my prayer. I lay my requests before You and I wait in expectation. I come before You today Christ Jesus, to seek Your forgiveness, mercy, and to receive Your direction and guidance. Let us not lean on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge You, for You make our paths straight. We trust You Lord with all our hearts. Only You can open our eyes so we can see You clearly, and our ears, so we can hear You clearly. You said whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease without fear of harm. We have access to You Father through the blood of Your son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for all Your great and very precious promises.

O LORD my God, in Your presence today, I ask You to hear my sincere prayer, my plea for my family, and all Your people. Holy and righteous God, Your words are trustworthy. You've promised good things to your servants. Thank You for blessing us so we may continue forever in your sight. Thank You for abundant provision and Your gifts of grace, mercy, and righteousness, to my family and all the families on my prayer list, and all who pray with me against the enemy’s devices, so we may reign in life through Your son, Jesus the Christ. May our prayers reach Heaven, Your holy dwelling place, and may You forgive and deal with each man according to all he does, since You alone know the hearts of men. Build a hedge of protection around us, surround us with angels, bless us mightily and let only Your will be done. Holy Spirit fill us so we may speak boldly. Jesus cover us with Your precious blood. Bless us to live peaceful and quiet lives in all Godliness and Holiness with all glory, honor, and praise to You.

Jesus, Your word says “where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them”. Release healing in our bodies and minds from pain, sickness, depression, and infirmity. Release renewed confidence through Your grace for self-doubt or feelings of unworthiness. Release mercy when we are misjudged, misled, or misunderstood and release patience, understanding, and renewed strength where there is tiredness or exhaustion. Release peace, love, and joy in every household and family.

May all I pray be received into every heart. Deliver us from fear, give us strength, courage, and travel mercy. God you protect us by the POWER of Your name, and You surround us with Your favor as with a shield. I stand with all power in my hands through the blood of my King, Jesus. Satan, I command you, and every demon in hell to bow down under my feet for I have authority over you in Jesus' name. I stand in His authority today and command you to take your hands off my family, all families on my prayer list, our bodies, our homes, our ministries, our finances, and all God has given us, in the name of Jesus the Christ, image of the invisible God, Master of the universe, our Deliverer, Savior, and Blessed Redeemer.

Lord, please give us wisdom over our finances and never let us rob You of Your tithe. We must be faithful to give You Your portion as You’re faithful to fulfill our needs. Lord, let us be free of debt, with all our needs met. Help us to be cheerful givers, so that in all things, at all times, we have all we need to do Your will, and abound in every good work. Bless us abundantly and make us rich in every way so we can be generous on every occasion. Let our generosity, and our testimonies be given with love in Your name, and result in profuse thanksgiving, praise, and glory to You. God continue to guide, protect, and bless the men and women You’ve anointed and sent to direct Your chosen ones to the center of Your will. Holy Spirit fall upon us, give us the words to speak that will fulfill God's will. Power of the Most High overshadow us.

Thank You Lord for keeping us from making the mistakes we’re most prone to when temptations come, for sending angels to weed out of our lives everything that’s not of You, all that causes sin, and all who do evil; for keeping evil far from us, keeping us free from sin, and safe from the pain and grief that sin brings. You are faithful, and You break the power of the enemy off our lives and protect and strengthen us from the evil ones. Thank You for putting up a supernatural barrier from all the dangers we can’t see, and the ones, in our weakness, we think we can risk. Thank You for directing us away from all things not of You, letting us distinctly see Your perfect will for our lives, and keeping us in the center of it. Lord, send angels to lead our way so we’ll not stumble, falter, waiver, or in any way be diverted from our course. We cast our cares on You Lord for You sustain us and will never let us fall. God, You are the originator of all life, the creator and possessor of all forces and concepts, the true force of all that’s really life. Help us keep our eyes and minds fixed on You, for by You, and for You, all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, for Your pleasure.

How true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right. The message God sent to Israel, the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. What happened in Judea, beginning in Galilee after John preached the baptism, and God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power, and He went around doing good and healing ALL who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him. Witnesses saw everything He did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, but God raised Him from the dead on the 3rd day, caused Him to be seen by the witnesses He chose, those who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. Jesus commanded us to preach to the people and testify He is the one God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify that all who believe in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His Holy name. While Peter was speaking the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. Circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles and they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. So even to Gentiles God granted repentance that leads to life.

Holy Spirit, fill our cups until they overflow, minister to our spirits, give us an overwhelming revelation of Your love, power, and direction, and lead our hearts into Your love and Jesus’ perseverance. Lord, spread Your protection over we who love You, that we may rejoice in You. Give us peace as we trust in You. Teach us to be patient, and wait for only YOUR WILL to be done in our lives. Thank You for the host of blessings You continue to bestow upon me, my family, our ministry, and all who are on my prayer list. Thank You for our sight, our hearing, our ability to walk, and for healing our bodies. You are a forgiving and understanding God that loves us so much You keep blessing us though we stumble and falter, and don’t always hear Your voice. Father, we love You, we adore You, and we praise Your Holy, precious, name.

Draw unto You the lost, those who can’t find their way, and have no hope through us. Reveal to them the love they’re looking for to fulfill them; and the only one who loves them as much as they want to be loved, is You. Let us be a living testimony to those who don’t know You are THE ONLY ONE who loves us unconditionally, and will never hurt us, or let us down, like SO many we've hurt, and who have hurt us. Forgive us, and let those we’ve hurt, known and unknown, forgive us as well. Your word says if Your chosen ones ask it shall be given them; if they seek they will find; if they knock the door shall be opened unto them. Anyone who trusts in You will never be put to shame. Jesus, please reveal to everyone I pray for that You change people and things, and there is nothing hidden from You. Your divine power is everything we need for life and Godliness. You are the only one on whom we can always depend. You are always there when we call Your name. There’s no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You are, and the outcome of every battle is in Your hands. It's useless for us to worry, the solution to every question, doubt, or fear is in You and Your word. You are our very best friend. Sharing everything in our lives with You, is true prayer. I ask Your forgiveness for everything we’ve done or said that wasn’t pleasing to You. Search us, mold our hearts, transform our minds, and conform our will to Yours. Cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Fill us with all joy and peace while we trust in You and let our hope overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit who You sent to us. We are forever grateful for Your amazing gifts.

God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ, equip us with abundant finances, all we need to do Your Will, and work in us what is pleasing to You. I praise and thank You for Your grace and mercy that’s new every morning, and for all You do for us throughout every day. Bless us so we may be a blessing to others. Keep us strong and uplifted so we may help the weak and edify, fortify, and encourage Your chosen ones. Set our hope fully on the grace to be given us when You, Jesus the Christ, our Messiah, the immortal Son of God, the great King Immanuel, are revealed. You love us, You are for us, You protect us, whom shall we fear? Your grace, my Lord, is sufficient for any problem.

Lord, hold our troops fighting for our freedom from tyranny in Your loving hands. Protect and guide them, as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Cover our troops with Your precious blood Jesus. Surround them with angels to protect, lead and guide them. I speak healing into all the soldiers injured in their minds and bodies through their fight for our freedom, and liberty. Lord make them whole again and let it be to Your Glory.

Father, we can do no good until Your Spirit, according to Your sovereign will, begins to move upon our lives and our hearts. If not for your grace not one of us would be saved. There are none who seek You, and really want to be holy, right, and true, except Your Spirit first breathes upon them and creates the desire in them. Jesus help us to remember the tremendous process involved when one calls on Your name for salvation. Your birth at Bethlehem; the anguish, darkness, and mystery of the cross; the wonder and miracle of the resurrection; the sending forth of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost; the process behind every call upon Your precious name. You arranged it and You're behind it all. You deserve all our praise, worship, and adoration.

The first step of our salvation, faith in You Jesus, comes from the gospel. The good news that You exist, that You took our place, You died for our sins, You redeemed us, and You reward those who diligently seek You. You are Lord of all and You richly bless all who call on Your Name, for Your word says everyone who calls on Your name will be saved. You bless whom You will bless, You have mercy upon whom You will have mercy, and You show compassion on whom You want to show compassion. God, the potter, makes out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use. He hardens whom He wants to harden for His will to be done. Your Spirit moves according to Your will. No man can predict or control where Your Spirit goes or how it moves. You are God alone, the one true living God of the universe, who is alive and well.

Rise up and revive Your remnant. We long for You to use us. In You we form one body, from the least of us to the greatest, and each member must work seamlessly with the others to complete Your will. Your love sustains us. We come out of the fire refined, in Your image, into the gifts You've given us, through Your grace and Your will. Anoint us to stir up these gifts and share our faith, and Your love, to guide those You've called so they may see and understand Your compassion and Your comfort. We must let them see that any good we do and all power in our earthen vessel, comes from You. Let our behavior reflect the peace, joy, and encouragement we receive in times of stress, so through our love and concern for them, we can bring them a word of peace. We will share how You strengthen and restore us through tests, trials and tribulations, and how we go from glory to glory through our tears, fears, and suffering. We will build confidence in them through our testimony, and they will feel free to ask questions or bring us any problems, with no fear of condemnation. We will build relationships by answering their questions with discernment, discretion, and love, in dependence upon Your love and power, resting upon Your forgiveness, Your grace, and Your mercy.

I know that in all things You work for the good of those who love You and have been called according to Your purpose. For those You foreknew You also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of Your Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. Those You predestined You also called. Those You called You also justified, and those You justified You also glorified. God, You’re all we need. We trust You and we know You will equip us, to fill the longing You put in us, to become what You chose us, and created us, to be. We're not our own, we're bought with a price. We belong to You and we no longer live for ourselves. Our will, pleasure, and comfort, are not primary in our life, but only what You called us, and molded us to be. The more You reveal to us why You created us as You did, and who we are becoming, the more our behavior will change and we'll be able to follow the course You set before us.

You provide the power and strength for we are nothing, and we can do nothing without You. You work in us, and through us, in everything we do. You hear our prayers for forgiveness when we have erred, and You forgive us, even though we know we don't deserve it. We adore You God, because You don't hold our failures against us. You put Your word in us. You wrote it upon our hearts. You changed the motivation of our lives to Love for You and our brothers. As You build character in us we understand the glory of our relationship, and love becomes our only response. You said I will be your God, and you shall be my people. You supply the direction and the power and all we do is act on it.

Reveal Your will to us, and help us live our life worthy of our calling. We want to please You in every way, bear fruit in every good work, and grow in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all Your power, according to Your glorious might, so we may have great endurance and share in our inheritance in the kingdom of light. The very trials we go through produce in us the character we need. It mellows us, refines us, softens us, opens us up, and makes us more like You. Instead of being hard, callous, resistant, self-centered people, we're becoming responsive, open, and selfless. Our sufferings may pain us, but they won't damage us.

God, we who are rooted and established in love, need the power to fully grasp how WIDE, and LONG, and HIGH, and DEEP Your love is. I pray that out of Your glorious riches You will strengthen us with power, through Your Spirit, in our inner beings, and You will dwell in our hearts through faith. Please give us a full revelation of Your love that surpasses knowledge that we may be filled to the measure of all Your fullness. Our daily communion with You, and Your spirit dwelling in us, is Your will for our lives. Our whole spirit, soul and body unreservedly, unconditionally, for Your exclusive use, at Your disposal. We willingly give You the nothing we are so You can in turn give us everything You are. We are holy Your property, a chosen race, a holy nation, a royal priesthood. You make Your home in our hearts.

We step into every new day with complete expectation that Your life Jesus will be manifest in us. You made this possible through the sacrifice of Your body, once for all. With that amazingly great sacrifice, that offering, You made perfect forever those who are being made holy. Just as You who called us are holy unto God, we will be holy unto You in all we do. We are set apart to worship and serve You, and in You we find health, wealth, happiness, and wholeness. We’re washed, sanctified, and justified in Your name and by Your Spirit. You make us stand firm Christ. You anointed us, You set Your seal of ownership on us, and You put Your Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come, the salvation of our souls.

Jesus, we give You all the praise, all the glory, and all the honor, for being our loving shepherd and guiding us through every step of our lives; all we had to do was ask You in and allow Your will to be done in us. Teach Your sheep to hear Your voice, listen to Your word, pay attention and obey. We've been chosen by You God, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience unto Jesus, and the sprinkling of His blood. The world teaches obedience is a horrible thing, but obedience to You, through faith, is true freedom. Jesus, Your obedience on the cross led us to our righteousness. Your command is to believe in the POWER of Your name, and love one another, and this is love: that we walk in obedience to Your command. Grace and peace is ours in abundance. God I thank You and praise You for choosing us to accomplish Your will.

Lord, keep us from sin, and don't let us cause anyone to stumble. Increase our faith daily, and never let it fail. You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. We do everything as if we do it unto You, and we pray You're pleased with Your servants. Our faith in You makes us sure of what we hope for and certain of what we don’t see. We hope for what we don’t yet have and we wait for it patiently. When we ask we believe we will receive and we don’t doubt. This is the confidence I have in approaching you: that all I ask for in prayer, according to Your will, You hear. Knowing You hear what I ask, I know I will receive it, and it’s mine.

We trust and believe You and it’s counted to us as righteousness. Without faith it’s impossible to please You. Our confidence will be richly rewarded. By our faith we know You've forgiven our sins, saved us, answered our prayers, led us, healed us, fed and clothed us, and granted our requests. You said anyone who has faith in You will do the things You did, in Your name. Our hearts are purified by our faith. We will persevere so that when we’ve done Your will Jesus, we’ll receive all Your precious promises. We wait for the day You will come to bring us into Your Kingdom.

We ask You for wisdom God for You give generously to all without finding fault. May Your grace, mercy, blessings and peace be on Your people and our families. Since we’ve been justified through faith, we have peace with You God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we’ve gained access, by faith, into this grace in which we now stand. We’ve not seen You Jesus but we love You. We believe in You and we’re filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for we’re receiving the goal of our faith, the salvation of our souls. Help us consider it pure joy when we face many tests and trials, for we know the testing of our faith develops perseverance, whose finished work is that we are mature and complete, not lacking anything. Discipline is painful, but it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for we who have been trained by it. Our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in we who are the sons of God, on the Great and Glorious Day of Christ Jesus.

We walk in the light, as You are in the light in fellowship with one another, and Your blood Jesus purifies us from all sin. We boast in the hope of Your glory and glory in our sufferings. Your love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who You gave to us. For from You, and through You, and to You, are ALL things. I ask all these requests in Your precious name Jesus the Christ, my Lord and my Savior, my Blessed Redeemer, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega, and the Bread of Life. To God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through all generations, forever and ever. We give all glory, honor, and thanks to our God & our King, forever!

Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be THY name. THY Kingdom come, THY Will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever and ever. Oh God, that You would bless us indeed, and enlarge our territories, that Your hand would be with us, and You would keep us from evil, that we may not cause pain. Lead us and guide us so Your Will, not ours, will be done. Your word says the one who trusts in You will never be put to shame.

Lord You are my shepherd, I shall not want. You make me to lie down in green pastures: You lead me beside the still waters. You restore my soul: You lead me in the paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in Your house My LORD forever.

Psalm 13
A song of ascents. Of David. How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

Psalm 138:8

Lord, You will fulfill Your purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever, do not abandon the works of Your hands.

Revelation 22:20-21

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.

Amen.

I wasted a lifetime believing God! By T.D. Jakes

I wasted a lifetime believing God! By T.D. Jakes Ministries/The Potter's House on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 9:17pm
I thought I would just "keep it real" with you and share my innermost thoughts. If you ever felt like faith was a waste, let me be honest with you and tell you what I really think!

“My faith in God in Jesus name…..lost me my job of 11years last year! All my life i tried to live good……& it was in vain. I am ashamed of believing in the father who i trusted deeply…. Most of what i ever needed i never really got, no matter what or how i asked… God is here for his lost children of israel and not for all! I wasted a lifetime believing in God, a God who obviously hated me & forsook me when i was young…. He never rewarded me, kept me encouraged or helped much… Out of habit i may always fear him…

What you just read was an excerpt of a post that I received today on Facebook. Her phrase, “I wasted a lifetime believing in God” – I was so moved by what I read that I had to not only respond, but in the interest of wondering if there are others who feel this way, I wanted to share it. Not to put Sally’s situation on blast, as my youngest son would say, but with the hope that it may encourage someone else who might be at the end of their rope with similar thoughts.

I pray this post speaks to your heart and helps us all to hold onto the precious gift of faith. Please read below and find a slightly edited version of my response for your benefit. I changed the name of the reader to protect her privacy. In the interest of full disclosure, I fully understand what it is like to lose property and jobs. I have been unemployed, run out of unemployment and was nearly homeless. I am acutely aware of how painful it is to find your lifestyle radically changed.

Sally,
I sense your pain and understand your disappointment. Like many people you have bought into an ideal that says if you love God and serve Him, he pays you back with positive responses. When you did what you thought was right and things went awry, you felt cheated. I understand that…I really understand that. However, the premise that you are standing on is flawed. Bad things do happen to good people. The bible is clear about that. Compared to the disciples who were crucified for Him, burned, skinned alive and beheaded, our idea of suffering and persecution is lost jobs, or He didn’t give me what I asked for, and perhaps some other deeply painful experiences.

While I certainly don’t want to minimize the misery we face, I do want to put them in biblical context. The bible is open about suffering but not the kind we are seeing in the headlines resulting from economic crunches. To be sure, many Americans of all types are suffering real hardship!

Still we haven’t been martyred like the disciples were, or like other Christians still are around the world. They DIED in FAITH! They weren’t disappointed because God didn’t deliver them what they wanted, when they wanted it. They “counted it all joy” when called on to suffer.

Those of us who continue in the faith do so in spite of deep pain, buried children or spouses, some are on ventilators, and others dialysis! We don’t serve God in a “let’s make a deal” sort of way! Rather God would say, “deal or no deal”. He doesn’t negotiate under terroristic threat of the loss of faith! Actually, our faith is a gift from God through which we have eternal life, which will last a lot longer than unemployment, physical infirmities and childhood disappointments!

I am not asking you to reconsider your loss of faith. Faith isn’t a decision, it is a gift. It results from God revealing His son Jesus to you! I pray that revelation comes with real relationships and not just religion. Like all relationships, we go through storms but we go through them with God being with us! His purpose in redemption is for eternal life! Like a flight attendant who is there primarily for your safety and secondarily your comfort, salvation is primarily for eternal life and secondarily for the benefits and blessings we often misappropriate their significance.

One final thing, if you weren’t seeking Christ, you wouldn’t have sent me the note. There is a deep hunger in your soul that your current absence of faith hasn’t filled! Try approaching God with truth. Tell Him you are hurt, disillusioned and disappointed, but you miss the joy and peace that comes from having Him in your heart!

He misses you too and He loves you unconditionally. If you draw nigh to Him, He will draw nigh to you! I wrote this because I care too much for you not to write an honest response to such a pain filled remark. May God bless you on your journey. I know what it is to hurt so bad that you rationalize away the existence of God. But faith isn’t rational, it’s spiritual! I found my way to His mercy seat. There is still room for YOU!

In compassionate, care and concern,
Bishop Jakes

Wisdom From Bishop T.D. Jakes

Change is a gift from God. It is given to the person who finds himself too far removed from what he feels destiny has ordained for him. There is nothing wrong with being wrong – but there is something wrong with not making the necessary adjustments to get things right! Don’t assume that real change occurs without struggle and prayer. However, change can be achieved.

Many times we get so wrapped up in achieving our life’s goal that we miss the opportunity to stop and be thankful for the things we have already achieved. While determination is critical in achieving anything, I challenge you to slow down the pace every now and then, look back at the ground you have covered and applaud yourself for making it thus far.

We do not want to hear anything about process because we want everything to be instantaneous. Our culture has trained us to want everything immediately. We want everything now – a three minute egg and grits in sixty seconds. The process in our life always comes before the promotion.

There is a difference between weakness and wickedness. Jesus hand picked twelve disciples. One denied Him, one betrayed Him, one doubted Him and some accomplished very little and still the church survived. That is because the church isn't built on the finish work of men, but rather the finished work of Christ! We must strengthen ourselves while looking only to Jesus!

True worship is born when true sacrifice occurs – laying upon the altar something you’d hoped to keep for yourself. You can never be really anointed until you personally experience a situation that calls you to lay aside your garments. Who can help but worship Him when we see Him with unclouded vision?

You don’t want to walk in the bread or provision God gave you 10 years ago. You want to walk in the word that says, “Give us this day our daily bread.” You want to know, “God, what do you want me to do right now? If you say raise your hand, I’ll raise it. If you say stop your hand, I’ll stop it. I’ll do whatever you want me to do.”

When we are given the opportunity to start our lives over through salvation in Jesus Christ, we should take full advantage of what it means to be born again. Our new position in the Kingdom of God is not conditional. It does not depend upon what we have done in the past or what we will do in the future. Our title is based on who we are in Christ.

I learned long ago that you don’t lose anything by waiting on God. When the right time came to do certain things in my life, I accomplished more in one year than some people did in 20 years. When you do things in the right time, in the right season and with the right purpose — God will surely bless you!

I want to see the day come when people are running to get into church; afraid they’re going to miss something. I want to call the church back. Let’s return to the power and anointing of God. Let’s return to a real move of God!

FaceBook

FaceBook brought so many of our old friends back into our lives. It is good to see they are doing well and to see their families and how they look now. It is how we keep up with our extended families as well. It is also a way for us, and them, to let everyone know when they need prayer, or want to share what God has done in their lives.

I post a lot of Bishop T.D. Jakes on my FB page like I do here. Depending on your level, Christ sends someone who speaks to that level into your life. There have been many times I prayed for someone to address my current circumstance, and when the time was right the answer was there. Some, like Bishop Jakes, speak and you hear what you need, while others hear what they need at the same time.

When Jesus spoke, especially in parables, some understood, and others had no clue. God reveals His word to you as you reach the proper level to understand it. 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. God's word comes to life only when He reveals it to you, and only when you are able to understand it.

When you get my age and look back over your life you see how God manipulated circumstances to bring you where you needed to be. There are no mistakes in your life, every word you said, everything you did was to teach you something. God knows what you are going to say and do before you do it. Every situation in your life taught you something you needed to get where you are going. Your purpose, your gift, may be for only one moment in time, or like Bishop Jakes, to affect the world.

This writing made so many things clear to me. I posted this before, but it is worth reposting.

The Tapestry of Life - Unknown Author

As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls. Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles. An angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.

But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares were. They were filled with giant holes.

Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in everyday life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.

I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened. My Angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.

Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose, each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise. My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had had love in my life, and laughter.

But there had also been trials of illness, and death, and false accusations that took from me my world as I knew it. I had to start over many times.

I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance. In my life I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.

And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was. I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light. An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes. Then I looked upon the tapestry before me.

Light flooded through the many holes, creating an image. The face of Christ.

Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, "Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, My struggles. Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you." "'You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light shine before men is such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.'" Matthew 5:14-16

T.D. Jakes Ministries/The Potter's House

What will you do with the rest of your life? The decision you make, based on this question alone, will determine the quality of life you will experience. Take the time to search deep within yourself for the answers to this question. Make a decision. And when you’re ready, begin the transformation process. How you live your life from this day forward is entirely up to you.

You can’t spend your life in the graveyard of guilt dealing with the corpses of the past. Know when things are dead, know when to release them and bury them. If you continue to work with the dry bones of dead issues, you too will begin to decay. No amount of work will resuscitate a corpse. Sign the death certificate and bury the past.

The gift, talent or ability God gave you is your key to success. God did not give it to you to be put on display behind a glass showcase. He did not give it to you to waste. Nor did He give it to you for you to hide and deny it out of a false sense of religious humility. God gave you a gift to be poured out, used and invested.

We are here on this earth to spread the gospel and to reach every living person with a message of hope and deliverance. We are called to enforce what Jesus did on Calvary when He completed His purpose and said, “It is finished.” He was telling us that He had done all He could do and we must carry on that work.

Life will always present broken places, places of struggle and conflict. If you have a divine purpose and life has put you on hold, hang on! Stay on the line until life gets back to you. If you believe as I do, then it’s worth the wait to receive your answer from the Lord.

My prayer is that you will soon experience the fullness of God’s promises in your life. We often limit Him and what He is able to do because our heart dwells in past disappointments. Don’t let what you went through define who you are and what God will ultimately do.

I can't believe it has been so long

No matter what, life happens. My husband went to the doctor for an ingrown toenail, and it turned into an infection. The infection got worse after the initial antibiotics and he ended up in the hospital After two weeks of doctors debating if they would be able to save his toe, they decided to do vascular bypass surgery from his groin to his toe. He is home and doing pretty well. He is generally so active it is hard to keep the leg from swelling, but we are truly thankful for the outcome.

It was much harder on me most of the time than it was on him because they kept him extremely sedated. Most of the time he didn't even know I was there. We have been together over 33 years and trying to imagine what we would do if he was not able to do the things he loves, including keeping the house and large yard maintained, made me really stop and think. We have lived in our home for almost 22 years. If he were no longer able to get around so many things would have to change. The infection was so bad, there were times when the thought of losing him was overwhelming.

In all our years together we have been through MANY trials and tribulations and made it through because of our faith. When life gets hard I pray, and give it to God. I thank Jesus for giving me that opportunity because He gave His life for me. His bruised and broken body heals us & His blood covers a multitude of sins. I can't imagine not having this faith and hope He died to give us. When it gets too hard to pray, I turn on my praise and worship music, Jesus carries me, and God holds my hand.

Wonderful Peace, lyrics by Warren D. Cornell

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight
Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;
In celestial strains it unceasingly falls
O’er my soul like an infinite calm.
Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!
What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,
Buried deep in the heart of my soul,
So secure that no power can mine it away,
While the years of eternity roll!
Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray.
In fathomless billows of love!
I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace,
Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control;
For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day,
And His glory is flooding my soul!
Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!
And I think when I rise to that city of peace,
Where the Anchor of peace I shall see,
That one strain of the song which the ransomed will sing
In that heavenly kingdom will be:
Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!
Ah, soul! are you here without comfort and rest,
Marching down the rough pathway of time?
Make Jesus your Friend ere the shadows grow dark;
O accept of this peace so sublime!

Chosen By God 3

I grew up on Lake Huron in Michigan. The spillway ran behind our house. An approximately 10' wide x 12' deep channel off the lake that carried excess water inland to keep our homes from flooding . My older brothers put a big plank across it so they could get to their friends houses on the other side. I was four, and decided I would follow my brothers. By the time I got to what we called the “County Ditch”, my brothers were out of sight. The plank was about 2-3' below ground level and about 2 feet above the water, the ground was muddy, and I had on sandals. I slid down the slime to just above the plank. I screamed at the top of my lungs, but no one heard me. I struggled to climb back up for what seemed an eternity, grabbing at tree roots, and making little progress until I got my foot on a big tree root that allowed me to put my arms on the ground at the top and pull myself up. I can imagine what my mother saw when my screams brought her running out of the house. Seeing me covered with muck & slime she ran for the hose, and adding shame to my distress, hosed me off in front of all the neighbors that came running to see what was going on. (I was known for being very loud!) The third miracle in my life.

T.D. Jakes

If you are in a fight, keep on reaping while you fight; fight with one hand and reap with the other. You have a certain season to reap, and the reason you have warfare is that the devil is trying to distract you and make you miss your season. Do not back off, give up or give in. Determine to stand firm, slap him with one hand while you pluck the fruit of your harvest with the other. It is your time and season!

Bishop T. D. Jakes

We have many people who modeled how to get started, but few live long enough to show us how to finish. The Bible says that it is not good for man to be alone. We need someone to show us how to get through the different ages and stages of life; someone who’s been there to coach us through the process and say, “Keep going, don’t give up now.”

Dear heavenly Father, You know how much I long to know who I truly am. Please allow me a deep awareness of what it means for me to be Your child. Give me the confidence of Your promises and the ability to love myself as You love me. Amen.

Journey To A Heart Like His - Nancy Leigh DeMoss

(Excerpt) Many of us long to experience a greater sense of God's presence and power in our lives. Our hearts need to be revived. We will never meet God in revival until we first meet Him in brokenness.

"To be broken is the beginning of revival. It is painful, it is humiliating, but it is the only way." Roy Hession.

Brokenness is not a feeling or an emotion. Rather, it requires a choice, an act of the will.

Brokenness is the shattering of my will. It is saying, "Yes Lord!" No resistance, no chafing, no stubbornness.

Brokenness is the striping of self-reliance and independence from God.

Believers with broken, contrite hearts are receptive and responsive to the Word.

Broken people are self-denying and self-sacrificing.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God. 2 Corinthians 3:5 NKJV

Dreams

T.D. Jakes Ministries/The Potter's House: It has been said that, “Whatever you make happen for other people, God will make happen for you.” Until you help someone facilitate their dream, you have no right to expect yours to come to pass. There’s something you learn from helping other people with their dreams that prepares you for your own.

Proverbs 3 NIV

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed.

By wisdom the LORD laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew.
My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"—when you now have it with you. Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. Do not accuse a man for no reason— when he has done you no harm. Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways, for the LORD detests a perverse man but takes the upright into his confidence.

The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.

The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.

Chosen By God 2

My parents took us to the lake when I was 3 for a family picnic. My mother, her sister and brother, and we three kids, were sitting in the shallow water, and they were taking pictures. When they had finished they left us sitting in the shallow water playing as they went back up the hill to the picnic table. When my mother got back up to the picnic table she turned around. She screamed when she saw only my hair floating on the water. My oldest brother, who was 6, grabbed me, and drug me out of the water, long before they got there. This was the first time he saved my life.
The second miracle in my life.

The Window Thru Which We Look

A young couple moved into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."

Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry she would make the same comments.

A month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband; "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her."

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life... What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

We will always have seasons of struggles and testing. There are times when everything we attempt to do will seem to go wrong. The Lord has a purpose in not allowing us to be fruitful all the time. These periods destroy our pride in our own ability and reinforce our dependency on the sufficiency of our God. (Watch live service online all day Sunday and Bible Study Wednesday night)

Chosen By God 1

All who are called by God have a story to tell. Mine begins 15 months before I was born. My mother had her third boy, and the doctor told her if she had another baby it could kill her. He cut, buried, and stitched her tubes, instead of just tying them. (My father really wanted a girl) Can you imagine the surprise when she found out the tube grew back and she was pregnant?  She spent most of the pregnancy in bed or in the hospital, and remained in the hospital for weeks afterward. She came home to an 18 month old, a two 1/2 year old, and a constantly crying newborn. Did I mention I had "intestinal colic" and was constantly in pain? (My oldest brother lived only a few days.)

The first miracle in my life. I was born against all odds.

Bishop T.D. Jakes

Why does God take such a strong stance against worry? Because worry quietly eats away at your spiritual health until bitterness comes in & destroys your faith & optimism. Since we live by faith, worry chokes the very life out of us; leaving us asphyxiating on our problems & our pain. To God worry seems like a lack of confidence in Him. Trusting Him will always relieve such symptoms & bring peace.

Christ has given every one of us grace according to the measure of the gift of God. There’s a part of that gift in you and there’s a part of the God-given ability in you. All of us have a role for which we are responsible and with that role comes accountability.

God Will Be Done In Your Life

Believe God for Your situation, He orchestrates our lives, directs His plan, a complex undertaking, arranges the performance, writes the score, engineers the circumstances, directs the participants; masterminded it all so only His will would be done.

From the book, Biblical Principles for Christian Maturity

"Therefore, my beloved people, be steadfast, immovable, always overflowing in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord".

Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine,

Living with Jesus, a new life divine.

Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,

Moment by moment, O Lord I am thine.

Never a trial that He is not there,

Never a burden that He does not bear,

Never a sorrow that He does not share,

Moment by moment, I'm under His care.

Never a heartache and never a groan,

Never a teardrop and never a moan;

Never a danger, but there on the throne,

Moment by moment He thinks of His own.

Moment by moment I'm kept in His love,

Moment by moment I've life from above;

Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,

Moment by moment, O Lord I am thine.

Being Transformed - Bishop T.D. Jakes

Only when we are weary from trying to unlock our own resources do we come to the Lord, receive Him, and allow Him to release in us the power to become whatever we need to be. Actually, isn't that what we want to know - our purpose?

Then we can use the power to become who we really are. Life has chiseled many of us into mere fragments of who we were meant to be. To all who receive Him, Christ gives the power to slip out of who they were forced into being, so they can transform into the individual they each were created to be.

Stand Up!

Grace is what brought you to the cross, amazing grace, and it is grace that will sustain you. You do not need to worry about feeling like you do not deserve anything from God. You don't and I don't. That's a snare; we have all fallen, but the Word says now we stand. Stand up against the wiles of the devil. God gets no glory in your misery, your defeat, your complaining, your hopeless feelings. He is all you need to be an overcomer. Bishop T.D. Jakes

No Complaints, Only Praise

Through years and tears and adapting to the trials and difficulties of life, you must come to the point where you make up you mind if He does not change the circumstances in your life you are still going to praise Him.

What you will find is when you get to that place, He will then move in your life because you have matured enought to realize that God is worthy regardless of all the things He does for you. It is at that point that God can move in your situation because you have grown up and stopped complaining. - Bishop T. D. Jakes

Bishop T.D. Jakes

You will be blessed as you look back at all the prayers you laid on the altar, seasoned with His Word and waited for God to answer completely. Encouragement will come from occasionally looking back and being reminded that as you prayed He was answering. God is a prayer-answering God!

Surround yourself with those who won't compete with you, but see your ascent as a reflection of their own possibilities. Don't forget that success is not just cash or degrees, it is living out your life's purpose. It is being all you can be. Bishop Jakes

Don't give up on yourself!

People who allow themselves to change are free. As a result their lives are fuller and richer. If you wake up most mornings miserable, make a decision to change your life. You may be moody or even insecure during this process. These feelings are often prevalent when you tread new territory. In time, you'll be confident with the new you! Don't give up on yourself!  Bishop T.D Jakes

Plato Quote

Any one who has common sense will remember that the bewilderments of the eyes are of two kinds, and arise from two causes, either from coming out of the light or from going into the light, which is true of the mind's eye, quite as much as of the bodily eye; and he who remembers this when he sees any one whose vision is perplexed and weak, will not be too ready to laugh; he will first ask whether that soul of man has come out of the brighter light, and is unable to see because unaccustomed to the dark, or having turned from darkness to the day is dazzled by excess of light. PLATO

T.D. Jakes Ministries/The Potter's House

Often we don't give ourselves permission to succeed. Nor do we appreciate people who look like us and are successful. Surround yourself with those who won't compete with you but will revel in your success and somehow see your ascent as a reflection of their own possibilities. Don't forget that success is not just cash in the bank or degrees on the wall; it is living out of your life's purpose.

The most dangerous thing that can happen is to become imprisoned by emotions. You cannot place yourself in solitary confinement. Even when you feel you don't have anyone who is sensitive to your heart's cry, you must cry out to God because Jesus is your only answer. Open your heart so God can get down into your wounded spirit and heal you. Bishop Jakes

Prayer

“Lord, teach me to live within Your boundary lines for me. Help me to use Your authority within those boundaries. I pray that You would break through any restrictions that the enemy has put upon my life. I thank You that he will not damage my inheritance. You will help me to reach my full potential in You. The enemy will not limit my vision and all that You have planned for me. Help me to stretch beyond my limitations to the boundary you have set for me. ‘I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me’ (Philippians 3:12). I choose to press through in prayer and become all that You have designed me for. I partner with You with my dreams and the desires of my heart. I refuse to let the devil squeeze me into a narrow place but I stretch forth my stakes, pushing to the limits (Isaiah 54:2). I repent of believing the lies of the devil (name any lies you have been believing). I shake off any negative feelings of hopelessness or insecurity (Isaiah 52:2). Help me to speak out Your Words of truth and worship You daily. Help me to obey You completely. I claim Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’ Thank you for the freedom I have in You. In Jesus name, Amen.”

Cast all your cares upon Jesus

God's will can only be done when you give ALL your circumstances to Him and pray, worship, praise: give of yourself to Him. If you give EVERY care to Him, He will show you just how much He can do for you. Jesus' outstretched arms are ALWAYS reaching out to you.

The Real Fred Hammond's Thoughts

God always cuts, prunes, strips, removes, crushes and tears me before He elevates. Anything that can be shaken is shaken, I've seen it time and time again trust me it's always been that way. The cutting is surgery, the pruning is to bring new ripe fruit, the striping and removal is to Add new, the crushing is for the anointing, the tearing is for humility and preparation, but the BLESSING=PRICELESS

Life Lessons

No matter what happens,
How bad it seems today,
Life does go on
Tomorrow is a brand new day.

You can tell a lot about a person by
The way they handle four things:
A rainy day,
The elderly,
Lost luggage, and
Tangled Christmas tree lights.

I've learned,
Regardless of your relationship with your parents,
You'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned making a living
Is not the same thing as making a life.
I've learned life sometimes gives you a second chance

I've learned you shouldn't go through life
With a catcher's mitt on both hands.
You need to be able to throw something back

I've learned if you pursue happiness, it will elude you
But if you focus on your family, friends, the needs of others,
Doing the very best you can, happiness will find you

I've learned when I decide something with an open heart,
I usually make the right decision.

I've learned though I have pain, I don't have to be one.

Reach out and touch others lives.
A smile, a warm hug, a pat on the back,
Show them the love of Jesus in you.

I've learned I still have a lot to learn.

Hebrews 13:1-3

Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

THE REAL FRED HAMMOND

There's always an Opportunity to Love. God will see to it by allowing people to come into our lives to test us. So when they come remember this is not just a test, It's an opportunity.

My personal prayer to my Lord, my God

God I set my mind to gain understanding and revelation and to humble myself before You. Please reveal to me the clear and powerful discernment, comprehension, and empathy of Your will and Your ways. Reveal Your manifest Glory Lord, that makes You worthy of the homage and adoration of all creation, and Your incomparably great power that is available to me. I desperately need Your power to fulfill the vision You put in me. I have such a burning desire to know You, adore You, and worship You, completely. I desire to be so stirred up by the revelation of who You are, my heart so fixed in my confidence in You, I never fail to trust You, lean on You, hear You, and complete Your will for my life. I’m totally dependent on You. I am nothing, I have nothing, I can do nothing, without You. I need You to have my being, to move and breathe, to survive, so please remove from me everything that’s not of You, burn it up Lord, pull it out by the roots.

My Lord, My God

I am the Lord God, the Alpha and the Omega, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. The one who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father—to Him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

Tests & Trials

Tests have many purposes — the most obvious purpose is to prove your skill or mastery of a particular subject. Tests also show areas where you need to improve. While tests may be feared, they can also serve as confidence builders when you complete the test. Even if you fail the test, you realize that it was not the end of the world and you were able to get through it.
Life has many tests. The Bible speaks directly to the tests and trials that every person experiences. The reality of living in a fallen world with fallen people is that circumstances change, bad things happen, and tests are a certainty. The Christian is not immune to tests; anyone who has been a Christian for more than five minutes can vouch for this. In our text, James writes, “...when you fall into various trials...” (James 1:2, NKJV). Jesus echoes this same sentiment, “In this world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, NKJV). So all of us will experience various trials and tests until our very last breath. The only person with no problems is a dead person, and only those who died trusting in the LORD Jesus Christ.

Knowing God

God, we know You will never take us
Where Your grace cannot keep us,
Where Your arms cannot support us,
Where You cannot supply our needs,
Or You cannot endow us with Your power.

God, we know You will never take us
Where Your Spirit cannot work through us,
Where Your wisdom cannot teach us,
Where Your army cannot protect us,
Or where Your hands cannot mold us.

God, we know You will never take us
Where Your love cannot enfold us,
Where Your mercy cannot sustain us,
Where Your peace cannot calm our fears,
Or where Your authority can be overruled.

God, we know You will never take us
Where Your comfort cannot dry our tears,
Where Your word cannot feed us,
Where Your miracles cannot be done,
Or where Your omnipresence cannot find us.

God kept me so I wouldn't let go!

I Am a ' Kept ' Woman........and loving it.
You see, there were a few times when
I thought I would lose my mind,
but GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)

There were times when I thought I could
go no longer, but the LORD kept me
moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, I've wanted to lash out at those
whom I felt had done me wrong, but the
LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa. 13)

Sometimes, I think the money just isn't
enough, but GOD has helped me to keep
the lights on, the water on, the car paid,
the house paid, etc. (Matt. 6:25-34)

When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak, HE kept me
strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)

I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you know!
I'm blessed to be 'kept.'

Yvonne Tate

Yvonne and I have been more than best friends the last 45 years, we have been sisters. She became ill a few months ago and made her way to heaven yesterday. She was on a respirator, but that couldn't keep us from communicating. All we did was look into each other's eyes and squeeze each other's hands. She knew where she was going and told me she was very tired. Most of my family have gone on, and she was the only one left I could start a conversation with remember when... As we made our way through life, just hearing each other's voice made us smile, and helped us make it through many situations. There are no words to explain how hard this has been. It feels like something hit me very hard in the gut and I can barely breathe. My daughter made a beautiful video of her life for the funeral. None of us could speak it, we all loved her so very much. I can't imagine how anyone could make it through something so painful without God's help. Jesus carried me while God held my hand. It was the only way I could get through the days that ran together and the nights filled with tears. We must discern the things we can't change, or deal with on our own, give it to God, and worship and praise Jesus for loving and caring so much for us He gave His life to save us. It is then our responsibility to share these experiences with those who don't know Him, and pass on the comfort we received to help others going through life.

Let Jesus Carry You

I had an unexpected visitor this morning. He arrived early to sit down and chat for a while about how things were currently going for me in my life. He carefully and compassionately listened to all I had to say. He saw the stress on my face and the tears in my eyes.

He leaned over and gently held me for awhile. He reassured me and told me not to worry everything would work out for me and be just fine. He asked who I knew that could use a visit from Him. I immediately thought of you and gave Him your name and told Him where you lived. He gave me another reassuring hug as I walked with Him to my front door. He told me He was on His way to your place.
