Fire, That, Hope, Love...

Photo: The fire of God is special—unique. Only the fire of God was allowed on the altar of Moses, not fire produced by any human means. Nadab and Abihu made fire themselves and lit their incense with it. It was labeled "profane fire." Divine fire gushed from the tabernacle, swallowing up the false fire and bringing about the deaths of the rebel priests (Lev. 10:1-2). Today, we have profane fire being offered. Theologies of unbelief, the thoughts of men and their philosophies, criticisms and theories are strange gospels, which are not Gospel at all. They bear no trace of the glory-heat from heaven. Nothing in them produces any combustion except controversy. Yet, the “Gospel is the power of God”. The fire of the Holy Spirit puts life into us. Agreed? REINHARD BONNKEPhotoPhoto: AMEN?!

Good Morning Family,
Please read Mark 12:41-44 when you get a chance.

Let me start off by saying to you family that on this day, Jesus had just completed His teaching and sat in the area of the temple call the court of Women. As Jesus watched people place their offering into the temple treasury, He noticed a poor widow who put in two coins valued at less than a penny.

Mark 12:43-44
“Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, ‘I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything – all she had to live on.’”

This passage gives us a wonderful example of faith and how God must be the Lord of our finances – but the real message actually goes much deeper. You see family; though her gift was by far the smallest in monetary value, it was greatest in sacrifice

What I am saying to you family is that we have all been blessed in so many ways; and we are called to be good stewards, or managers, of all our blessings. As a good steward, we must present all we possess back to our Heavenly Father as an offering of love. Yes, this relates to our financial resources as well, but it also means we are to offer our gifts, abilities, talents, and time back to God through service and ministry to others. God created us (the complete package of who we are) for a purpose. We will need to spend good quality time with God to fully understand our purpose, but we can be absolutely sure that God has NOT blessed us so we can advance our own selfish agenda!

I want you to know family that every one of our blessings, no matter how small, are or should I say ought to be given so we can bless God in return. It’s no secret when I say to you that we often hold back from ministry opportunities because we feel our “offering” is insignificant. We feel inadequate to serve or unworthy to make a true contribution to the work of God’s Kingdom; but we need to understand family that God is never concerned with the magnitude of a gift. He is, and always has been, concerned and blessed by the condition of our hearts. (1 Samuel 15:22) says, “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams” In other words family; how we give is much more important than what we give…..Somebody Say Amen!

Have you ever notice how quiet it gets in Church at offering time. I said that to say this: God does not need our money, time, ability, or anything we accomplish or produce. But He loves us dearly and desires to receive the complete love and devotion which is given with our offering. Jesus was blessed by a widow who gave from her heart, even though the actual gift carried very little earthly value.

In closing family, let me say this: If we want our service or ministry to have significance in the eyes of God, we must focus on the One to whom we are giving rather than on the value of the gift in the eyes of man. With our eyes focused, we must then give with all the love in our heart. If our heart is pure in the giving, God will receive our offering as a true blessing. There are no worthless or insignificant gifts when the gift is given from a pure heart. Amen, Amen and Amen. God Bless You All, Have A Great Godly day in the Lord.

Hope For The Broken Hearted

Our Gracious Lord and Creator of All,
How high are your ways above our ways! Your majesty is all about us. The stars and the heavens declare your glory and we are in awe of you. Lord, you are able to do above and beyond what we can do, think, or even imagine. We are able to do so much more than we can think or ask, because of your power that dwells within us. You are so worthy to be praised!

Lord, when we come to you with our petitions and needs, we are not to doubt. We are to ask and trust, no matter how long it takes to receive the answer. We know that you see all and know all. Your timing is always so different from ours. Help our lack of faith and unbelief, Lord. Help put our doubts to rest. Lord, in the name of Jesus, we ask for you to bind the enemy, even now as we join together in prayer. Remove the thoughts, the voices and the naysayers that tell us you don't... or won't, answer our prayers. Remove the uncertainty that lingers in the hearts and minds of those who are praying today. Give them the peace, confidence and the rest that comes from knowing that you are in control. You are on the throne and you see every need. You are faithful, Lord. You are always so faithful to your people. Help us to be faithful towards you as well.

Help us to trust that you will always meet our needs and help us to remember that you only give us what you think is best for us. Little children beg for things they think they need, but their parents are wiser and know the things that children want are not always the best for them and so they must deny their requests. They aren't trying to hurt their children or upset them, they are trying to spare them from consequences they don't understand and sometimes don't even know exist. You are the same way with us, Lord. Help us not to question you.

Lord, you love to shower your children with good gifts and you inhabit the praises of your people. Please prepare our hearts. Change the things in us that hinder our prayers. Break the chains of fear, doubt, anxiety and self. Set us free to truly worship you without restrictions. Draw us closer to you than we knew was possible. Heal us and cleanse us. Lord, we lift our voices with praise and we thank you for the hurts and hearts you are healing today. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

I am believing and praying for good things for you all! Much love in Him,

Good Morning family,
Let me start out this morning by saying to you that there will be times in our lives when we feel that life is not what you hoped it to be. There will be times when God calls on you to do something you might not want to do; this family is where your will must be His will and not yours. Let me also say that the outcome might not be what you want it to be as well. What we must understand family is that Obedience is the key! We must learn that obedience is the only thing that matters when it comes to God! You see family; we are called to execute, and leave the outcome to God.

Sometimes that outcome can be a very positive one. In other cases, we may not get the kind of outcome we want. We may even get a negative outcome. The difference is that we know that we have been faithful to what He has called us to do and we yield results to God. God often blesses obedience beyond what we deserve family….Amen Somebody! God may call each of us to be obedient to situations that may not show positive results. It is in these times that our faith must be obedience-based versus outcome-based. Let me put it to you this way: What if Jesus had considered the immediate ramifications of whether he would go to the cross? Based on the immediate outcome, the decision would have been an easy one. After all family, who wants to die on a cross? However, for Him there was a higher purpose in that obedience.

We are called to this same kind of obedience. This means putting our own flesh on the line daily and dying to our own self-will. Today is the closing of my Family Reunion and some of the Preacher’s in the family will be bringing a word from God. We each have different topics and I can tell you right now family that not everyone is going to like something that will be said. But as long as we are Obedient to God’s word and yield the outcome to God….All Will Be Well With Him! In other words family; it’s not us, it’s about Him.

Please allow me to pray,
Father God; In the name of Jesus, I come to You this morning as humbly as I know how. I ask You for forgiveness of sins. So many things just look impossible. Sometimes we wonder how we will make it through this trial or how will we survive or where is this problem leading? But, when we stop concentrating on the problem and look to You and Your promises, We are relieved. For we know that all things are possible through You. You are in control and will make all things work to the good for those who love You. Thank You for those promises and for the "breath of fresh air" we feel in knowing You are here with us, for us, and in us through Your Holy Spirit. Please continue to help us to be obedient to Your word. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen, Amen and Amen. God Bless You All and Have A Great Godly Sunday in the Lord.
