Do You Believe?

I insist it is your obligation, if you believe in God, simply because he is God, to serve him and obey him. Not because it is for your advantage, it may be, I believe it is, but I demand you follow God, if you believe him to be God.

If you do not think he is God; if you really think that the devil is God, then follow him and his pretended godhead, and be consistent.

But if God is God, if he made you, I demand you serve him. If he puts the breath in your nostrils, I demand you obey him. If God is really worthy of worship, if really think so, I demand that you either follow him, or else deny that he is God at all.

If you say Christ’s gospel is the only gospel, if you believe in the divinity of the gospel, then test your trust in Christ. I demand you follow the gospel, not because it will be to your advantage, but because the gospel is divine.

If you say you are a child of God, if you are a believer, and think and believe that service of God is best, not because of the advantage you get by being holy; but that the Lord is God; and if he is God, it is your business to serve him. If his gospel is true, and you believe it is true, it is your duty to carry it out.

Charles Spurgeon

To Live Is Christ

Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you. Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.... Then Jesus told him, You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me. John 20:21-23, 29

John 21:25 Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.

Heaven

Faith in Christ is the qualification for a place in heaven; work for Christ is the qualification for rewards in heaven in addition to a place in heaven (Matthew 10:40-42).

In The Morning

In the morning, come up and present yourself to me there on top of the mountain. Exodus 34:2. Dear Father, we are coming to meet with You. Nothing on the common, everyday plain of life will keep us away from your holy heights! Blessed is the day when the morning is sanctified, set apart to God! Successful is the day when the first victory is won in prayer! Holy is the day when the dawn finds us on the mountaintop with God! Give God the first blossom of the day. Never make Him wait until the petals have faded.

Be Still and Know

Lord, in our time of need, strengthen us. You are our strength, shield, refuge, and very present help in our times of trouble. God, I know Your eyes go to and fro throughout the earth to strengthen we whose hearts long for You. Our body grows weary, but our hope is in You to renew our strength.

We do not fear, for You are with us. We are not dismayed or overwhelmed for You are our God. We know You will strengthen and help us, and You will uphold us with Your righteous hand. Even as the shadows of illness cover us, we feel the comfort of Your strength.

We love You Lord with all we are and ever will be, and we praise Your Holy Precious Name Forevermore

Faith in God

And having chosen us, He called us to come to Him. And having called us, He gave us right standing with Him. And having given us right standing, He gave us His glory. Romans 8:30

The Invitation

Meet The King

I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again?

A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. 2 Peter 3,4, 8-10

Testing The Spirits

1 John 4:1-3
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

I stand behind you

The Potter and the clay

2 Corinthians 6:3-10 WE ARE GOD'S PARTNERS
Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.

We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense.

We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.

Nothing Else Matters

Our Great God

Spiritual Blessings
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.

This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
Ephesians 1:3-8

All That Is God

Such a time as this

Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:13-14

Glory of God

The Holy Spirit loves order. He sets our powers and minds in the right place, giving our spiritual powers, that link us with our great King, priority. We must not disturb this divine arrangement, but ask for grace, so we can keep our body under submission. We were not saved to allow our passions to rule over us, but that we, as kings, may reign in Christ Jesus, over the triple kingdom of spirit, soul, and body, to the glory of God the Father. Charles Spurgeon

All Things New

Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and no one will even think about the old ones anymore. Be glad; rejoice forever in my creation! And look! I will create Jerusalem as a place of happiness. Her people will be a source of joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and delight in my people. And the sound of weeping and crying will be heard in it no more.
Isaiah 65:17-19

Free Indeed

John 8:32-36 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. They answered him, We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?

Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
