Your greater days...
THIS TOO SHALL PASS
Your hands go up and finally you give into arrest
The strength has all but faded from the beating on your chest
Your doubt is e’er increasing that you’ve given it your best
The Word of God within you is now being second-guessed
Perhaps today you may have heard some devastating news
Maybe your worth is questioned by your friends and family views
Not all too sure God hears you when your heart is singing blues
You contemplate the value of your sitting in church pews
The tears that you have cried have surely substituted sleep
The words that you cry out have been replaced - a vicious bleep
If there’s a God, you ask yourself, “What is this that I reap”?
Despair has come with vengeance, and into your life did creep
These things that have you troubled are not foreign to a man
We’ve all been thrown off course when searching for the Promised Land
There will be many things in life you’ll never understand
But trust the Lord, and hold on tight to God’s unchanging hand.
Your weeping may endure tonight but joy comes in the morn
So dry those tearful eyes and let the light of love adorn
Do nestle in His arms when you’re exhausted and forlorn
And know this too shall pass; your greater days will soon be born!
Your giant...
Goliath was Israel's giant.
Saul was Davis's giant.
Please keep in mind this truth. All giants are not people. The giants that most people have to deal with are the one's within themselves. Fear, lust, greed, insecurities, past failures, short comings, guilt or anything the enemy can use to intimidate God's people.
The giant is the last major hurdle that has to be dealt with before a person can walk into their place of destiny. Do not fear or be intimidated by what you see or feel. God is with you!
Numbers 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Apostle S. Louis Johnson
