“Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
Let me start off this Memorial Day Morning by saying to you family that God’s emphasis in scripture has always been on people! God said, “Let us make man in our image.” God didn’t say, “Let us make the dog in our image“ or “Let us make trees in our image.” God made man or mankind the most important thing in all of His creation! I drop by this morning to tell you that God loves people! God is interested in people because people are His highest creation! God wants all people to be saved eternally! Let me say it again, God loves people! If He didn’t love people then why did Jesus Christ die on the cross for the sins of people? This is one of the Greatest Lesson’s He Taught Us!
John 13:34-35 NIV Says,
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Today is Memorial Day and we need to be concerned about others for their good! It’s always good to think of others, to love others, and to remember others! I am almost sure that each and every one of us has lost some one due to some kind of war. I am calling on all the saints of God and asking that you find someone either in your own family, a friend’s family or your church family and show some love. Amen, amen and Amen.
