Absolute Peace

Peace is mentioned over 400 times in the Bible. The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom, which means wholeness and health in every area of life. The Apostle Paul used this salutation in most of his letters: "Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." I have never met anyone who claimed they had enough peace in their life. All of us want more peace but sadly enough, most are not willing to go to the Source of that peace. If you are not at peace, the fault lies squarely with you. No one has the power or authority to take away your peace. You have to give them that power. You have to give them that authority. Whether it is the difficult boss at work, an unexpected bill, health issues, or even a quarrel with the cashier at your local store, giving your peace away is YOUR choice.

How wonderful is the peace that grace gives us! You can lay your head down on your pillow every night, comfortable in the knowledge that you have peace with God, if you choose to. You cannot find it anywhere but at the cross! The world is trial and tribulation. In Jesus, is grace and peace. The choice is yours.

"Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory."

All of us want more peace but sadly enough, most are not willing to go to the Source of peace. Brothers and sisters, if you are not at peace in your life, the fault lies squarely with you. No one has the power or authority to take away your peace. You have to give them that power...you have to give them that authority. Whether it is the difficult boss at work, and unexpected bill, health issues, or even a quarrel with the cashier at your local retail store, giving your peace away is...quite frankly..,your choice.
Just look at the comfort being offered these verses:

John 16:33 "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

How wonderful is the peace that grace gives us! You can lay your head down on your pillow every night, comfortable in the knowledge that you have peace with God....if you choose to! And you cannot find that anywhere except at the cross! In the world, there is trial and tribulation. In Jesus, there is grace and peace. The choice is yours.
