Storms of Life

Storms of life make us tense and uncomfortable. We allow conditions to blow us out of control, and we don't allow God to be in control!!! When a gust of wind comes, birds just stop flapping their wings, keep them spread, and allow God's wind to carry them! When the storm passes it resumes the flight toward its destination!

Isn't it amazing the bird who is not "intelligent", like we are, knows to give God control of its situation! Write a list of things you can do something about and keep it. Write another list of things you can't do anything about and give it to God.

2 Chronicles 20:17: But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord is with you!”

Storms of Life

I am sitting here wondering. Storms, storms, and more storms of life. There is not one part of my body that does not ache or hurt. I commiserate with Job. I love God with all I am and all I ever will be, but I ask why is this my lot? Then I remember. I chose it. The prayer of my life has been for God to use me.

When God uses you mightily, you become the devil's worse enemy. I praise and worship in the midst of it all. I will never stop. No matter what. I have a friend who's sister is trying to save children in Ethiopia. I can't imagine the pain she has every day watching all the dying children.

This is the world we live in. It has never really changed, nor will it until Jesus comes. Until then all we can do is enjoy those special moments we get, and wait until He comes to get us, or we go to Him.
