God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that He should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.

The WORD

Just got an email from a friend: Jesus died over 2000 years ago. Nobody has ever referred to him as the late Jesus, Not even the heathens. Nowhere in history. Nowhere has He EVER been referred to in the past tense! He is the Living God!

There is an impulse deep in our hearts for the things of heaven. God placed it there. He shaped us for eternity & somewhere deep within us we know that. Our impulse may have been distorted when our first parents ate the forbidden fruit, or when we deliberately sinned against God, but we still have it. That's why we always want more no matter how much we have. Everything we think will satisfy us - never does. Eternal impulses are not content with temporal treasures. Our eternal impulse is like an itch. It is cured with a Divine Balm, not an impatient scratch!! Nothing in this world will ever be able to satisfy our hearts!

Spirit and Light

The gifts Christ gave to the church are: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

Revival Fire

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. After stumbling around in the darkness for a little while, I realized that I had to completely ignore all my feelings, and fully rely on the Word of God alone as my guiding light. God wants to do a new thing in your life. Do not get scared when He begins to move. Learn to know his voice and obey as He directs. For He will open doors for you. Didn't He promise to make a way for you. He will keep His promises to you. Our loving Father is ever Faithful. Do not be like the children of Israel who after seeing His provision complained as they met a new obstacle. For He will make a way. The picture, this verse reminds us God is doing a new thing. More than ever we need to let go and LET GOD!

Amazing, wonderful joy is ahead for us though we are being purified like gold. Our tests and trials show our faith is genuine and true. Genuine faith is far more precious than gold, or anything else on this earth. When our faith does not waver through these trials, it brings us praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. We love the Lord, and trust Him, even though we have never seen Him. We rejoice with the glorious, inexpressible joy He put in us.

Comfort

Shipwrecked

The only survivor of a Shipwreck who was washed up on a small uninhabited island prayed fervently for God to rescue him and every day he scanned the horizon for help but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements and store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food he arrived home to find his little hut in flames and soon there was nothing left. The worst had happened and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief and anger. “God, how could you do this to me?” He cried!!!!!.

Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. “How did you know I was here?” Asked the weary man.”We saw your smoke signal”, they replied. Hmmm, What would have happened if this hut had not gotten burnt? Where would his“rescue miracle smoke” have come from? Its easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn’t lose hope, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Remember this the next time your “hut”seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God because he is faithful. No matter how 2012 has been, never forget: God is too faithful to fail, hold on and keep the faith. God is in Charge, hold on to Him, He is in total control of your life. Cheerup!!!!!!

You Alone Lord

Order and discipline must be sought and found in our morning prayer. Early prayer eliminates wasted time & the temptation to give in to our weakness and lack of discipline in our thinking, our work, and our dealings with other people. Ordering and scheduling our time is most secure when it comes from prayer.
