Minister Calvin Watt

Good Morning Family,
Matthew 7:24-27 Says, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

Once again I say Good Morning Family and you are probably wondering why. Well let me tell you. Family anytime I read this passage of scripture, I realize how blessed I am to see another morning. I have been given another chance to get it right! I also think about the mornings and living in the world without it! I know for a fact that it is by God’s Grace that I am still Alive!!! In this wonderful message, Jesus taught about Salvation. Matthew 7:13 says that we must enter through the narrow gate.

He also taught extensively about basic Christian living - what Paul referred to as being "in step with the Spirit" in Galatians 5:25. Jesus said that both the foolish and the wise man heard His words and set out to build a house, but only one man followed God's design - and only one house remained standing after the storm. For some reason family, I am reminded of the three little pigs….humm. Only one heard the voice of God! (Did you catch that?)

Salvation is never earned by doing family. But true believers will strive to be obedient to what Jesus taught. We are obedient because our hearts have been transformed and His Spirit now compels us to follow He who has given us life and follow His commands. Hear me when I say to you family that we may stumble and sometimes fall, we may even become frustrated at the frequency of our falls, but if we are a child of God we will continue to get back up and move toward obedience because of who we are in Christ…..Hallelujah!!

Each of us has been given a choice on how to build our lives; our way or God's way, you decide. We must allow our Heavenly Father to become our Master Builder. We must trust Him with all our hearts as His plan unfolds. He promises to work through us to build something eternally beautiful that will weather all storms. But His promise is only applied as we faithfully allow Him to build our lives upon the rock of obedience. Amen, Amen and Amen. God Bless You All and Have A Great Godly Day in the Lord.
