As he had been deceived by his sons concerning Joseph, for 13 years, Jacob believed that Joseph had been devoured by a fierce animal. For 13 years, Jacob lost hope to see Joseph again and wept for him. But after 13 years, Jacob and Joseph met again in Egypt.
